Tourglide to late model roadglide swap

I'm new to the site and have been looking for info on a new project I'm working on I just got a sweet deal on a complete 84 tourglide fairing and want to know if the center fairing bracket is the same as the later model roadglide fairing if so I can use this bracket and mount for mock up on a custom bike I'm building thanks for the help

the later Roadlgides,they changed the angle of the fairing by 2 degrees so that vented lowers would fit.I believe the fairing was tipped forward more.

so if you plan to set it up like a late model,you'll need the late model brackets.

others here will be able to tell you the exact year,but the last part of the part # usually tells you the year the part came out.

84 bracket is part number 58400-80 new style is 58530-10 .... They don't look in any way the same. But that's not to say that it couldn't be re-engineered to work.

Main thing I'm wanting is to get a roadglide fairing with out the turn signals molded into the fairing like this tour glide one is, and during mock up I don't really want to go out and buy a new roadglide fairing and discover later it won't work

The least expensive thing to do is to get the Road Glide mount and see it it will mount to the '84 frame.
This way you don't need to buy a Fairing unless you need one.
The mounts can be found on eBay. If the mount can be made to fit, then the Road Glide fairing will fit.
The Road Glide fairing will not fit the Tour Glide mounts. There are different mounting locations.

I'm building a rigid frame bike with bags and rg fairing I think yall have answered all my questions now ill be on the lookout for a complete rg fairing, does anybody have any interest in a complete tourglide fairing!

But the RG/Tourglide fairing mount is unlikely to fit any rigid frame. I would guess it's going to be custom mount no matter what. You didn't say rubber mount or rigid frame. It's going to matter.

I personally would go with the TG fairing and if you hate the signals get a painter to fill and paint it. Cool thing about the mount would let you angle the fairing as you want.

All I wanted was the front plate off of the mount and I am going to weld it with a small piece of tubing to the neck of the rigid
