Biketronics 6.5" Titan II's anyone???
Has anyone tried the Titan II's from Biketronics? I recently received their new four channel amp (model 4180) and the first set of speakers. I won't have them installed for a week or so and in the meantime I was just looking for some feedback on them. I know the speakers are made by Hybrid-Audio and are extremely solid. I will update with pictures later today...we recently installed a set of rokkers in a customers Ultra Classic and I was not very impressed by the speakers themselves. The sound was clear and loud but was completely lacking in anything that could be considered "mid bass".
Anyway if anyone wants to see the speakers Biketronics has theirs modeled after (they look identical) they can be seen here... http://hybrid-audio.com/slideshows/Mirus/ they are based off the Mirus series from what I can tell...anyway, there will be more to follow!
Cheers,
Trent

Nobody???? Wow! for as many different speakers\brands\set-ups there are out there I thought someone would have tried them. I know their old Titan 6.5" speakers were made by Hertz and they sounded good. According to Mike at Biketronics, these Titan II's sound way better than the Hertz units....
Looks like I am the Guinea Pig on this one.....I will do a full write-up/review after installed.
Cheers,
Trent

Well I mounted the speakers/rings/grilles today and they look good. The speakers are very heavy for their size and that worried me a bit before I had them secured but now they feel very solid. Anyway, I will hook everything up to the amp and radio on Monday....Here are a few cell phone pics to help all those that are picture deprived...

Cheers,
Trent

Dfw', can you update us on the sound from the titans you installed? Also, do they have a separate crossover you need to mount? Thanks trying to decide on a brand of 6.5s for my fairing

Again, thanks Garemlin. From your pics I dont see any seperate crossovers... is that correct or did I just not see them?? I've been looking at Hawgwired ZX series and Polk 651mm but I dont want to deal with the seperate crossovers... Thinkin these might do the trick. Thanks again.

I also did the Titan II's with a RF 300x2 amp.. the standard HK Head unit. I'm really impressed with the sound. I was thinking to ad a pair of RF down in the fairing, but am reconsidering because it sound real good at this point.
