Before my swingarm upgrade 65-75 was her sweet spot....3000-3300 rpm's, after the upgrade and an 07 66 tooth rear pulley, 75 mph is at 3000 rpm's and she LOVES to do 80-85 now. Runs like a clock there and now she's stable!

Small world, I'm originally from Milwaukee My wife grew up in Jefferson back in the 80's and early 90's. Her parents brought us out here about four years ago, and have been missing the "real world" ever since! LOL! I kid, but it really is culture shock living in a small town.

Amen, I never used my cruise.... until, while riding two up, by wife advised me that at 110 MPH we would most likely to get a ticket. When I looked down, I think it was closer to 105, but why argue. I now use my cruise set at 75 so have have a place to slow down to.  .

The RG will cruise 80+ all day, loaded 2-up for 800+ miles a day as long as your ass can take it.
The important thing is to make sure that you don't get too comfortable and have an encounter with Johnny Law or worse, some distracted cage operator.

Yep the cruise control is magic. I set mine at 7-8 mph above posted speed limits and I’ve had no trouble so far.

Most LEO's I know won't screw with you at anything less than 10 over, especially as long as you're not doing something else stupid.
72 in a 65 while standing on the seat will likely get you a ticket no matter what.

good luck finding friends to ride with who don't have a road glide that can keep up with you at 80 all day.

We have a mix of bikes in our Club, but all are able to run at those speeds for extended periods of time. If they can't keep up, they can't join.
