I like a small seat. IMO, makes a bike look better. More streamlined if you will. I put a SESG seat on my bike, the first day to get rid of the larger RG seat. My wife hated it after 100 miles. 400 miles a day was a stretch. Did the MCC cycle thing, and I love it, and we did over 700 miles one day, but wife had no plans to make that a habit. Put a sheep skin on it for heat reduction, made her happy, short term, because it was the smoothness of the ride that was bugging her. Air Hawk under the sheep skin was my answer, and again she was happier....but not totally happy. Put the progressive 940's on last week, wife wanted airhawk and sheepskin removed because she liked the MCC Seat, and the smoothness of the ride. Now I am back to a MCC SESG seat without a fuzzy lump in the back. What's next?
They are the ugliest things on the face of the planet, but Russell Day Long, hands down. I've had stock, Corbin, Saddleman, HD accessory, Mustang, and Russell. The Russell smokes them all! When they say day long, they mean it! 12+ hours a day, everyday for 2 weeks, no issues for me or momma. The seat is so good, momma is hinting for me to get one for the RG now.
Got the sundowner. (ugly as hell) So comfortable for me I've put up with it.
Still haven't found anything the wife loves. After 20k foam has gotten soft and nothing near what it used to be. And if your tall you lose 3" of legroom from stock RGC. I think the next seat needs to be more firm and contoured for the passenger. My 2 cents.
I hated the look of the hammock seat, prefering the look of the badlander, I jacked my back up before BBBBQ this year, borrowed a hammock seat from a friend, my gf loves it and well so do I !!! hammock all the way
