From Citizen Kane "Rosebud" was the name of the sled from Kane's childhood – an allusion to the only time in his life when he was truly happy.

This was the same reasoning, but different movie, behind my RG's name of Red Ryder (2005 Sierra Red FLTRI), because just like the movie "A Christmas Story", there is no greater pleasure than getting your hands on the ultimate toy. Ralphie had his Red Ryder bb gun and all was right with the world. I loved my Daisy Red Ryder when I was kid and no other toy brought back that magical connection until I sat on the Road Glide and fired it up for the first time. I told my wife it was a "Red Ryder" moment. She just looked at me weird, but I knew it was Red Ryder from then on out. Cool Thread!

Does you RG have a name?
does your RG, or any other bike, have a name? share it here.
my '04 smoky gold one is Bessie, and the teal/white RKC that burned up in the garage fire was the devil in a blue dress

Pets, yes. Bikes, no. Doesn't mean I love the pets more. In fact, ....
