Oil Longevity........

Regardless of miles, I always change fluids prior to winter hibernation. Since I don’t know if the bike will go out or not. Mild winters you ride, cold snowy/ice you don’t. I don’t want the contaminates sitting in the engine/trans all winter. I have done this for many years. My bikes always go to bed with clean oil & fluids and a fresh blankie!

I have always done the opposite. I'll ride until the ice and snow is on the ground. If I'm lucky we get a couple nice days from December -Febuary. Last year I rode all winter, pretty mild here in CT. I usually put it to bed with the oil i am running since my last oil change. It gets fresh oil when I pull her out in the spring. I have never had an issue with it.
