BR custom bars
Any feedback on these bars?
I was surprised as they are a little pricey... quoted 410 shipped for 12" 1.5" New wave 2 bars in gloss Blk.
I thought I wanted to do something a lil different than the PY MB's since they are getting pretty common and I read allot of horror stories on the site about wiring them. But I'm on the fence about the $ of these BR bars.

yeah... some of their bars really look great, but I'm not convinced 3ft of tube steel or aluminum should cost someone $400 or so. im in the process of finding a company who can make great bars for the roadglide at a great price. when I do, I'll tell you guys about it, here and on my blog.

I was thinking the same, but in some cases you really get what you pay for.
In the case for BR customs, they claim to hand smooth all burs from inside the bars before welding them... Which in of itself is news too me... I assumed they were whole pieces of tubing bent and welded end to end...not halves circumference wise....
They also claim to not have customers complaining about chewed up wires or having a hard time running internal wires...a dig at PY bars I'm sure..

I just ordered a set - 1 1/2 New Wave 2 - 10" rise. 32" width, 9" pullback - gloss black $420. I ordered based on comments from others on the forum - Glide 72, Reficul, Dirtbag, Tail 11, and Murlsquirl. All of these folks have photo's of their bars on the site and seemed to have had a positive experience. Look around on the site - you'll see their posts.
As to the cost - PY MB's are $350...... These are in the same range and totally custom.

I can tell you that they are worth every bit of $400. The pride in his work shows. Pull the trigger and I can guarantee you won't regret it.

Mine are 9". Pulling the wires is a pain in the ass, but that's the case with any bar that has this type of bend. Wires didn't get chewed up and everything turned out great. Donk's writeup in this section is a great reference for anyone doing a bar install.

Thanks for the info Murl... would you mind posting some pics of them installed, if you got them on?
Excited to get mine on order... 6-8 week wait is going to kill me!
