I'm in..........I would love to attend SWIII but the time off required is too much with having a family and other vacations with them.
I also think that is we can't pull off the national, we should still do a regional rally

Wow, presentations, representatives, video conferences to decide who hosts Shark Week. I always thought it was decided by the first guy to get drunk enough to say he would do it. I am up for anywhere if there is someone willing to put in the work to put it on. Maine souds great.

I look forward to hearing all the proposals and voting at SWIII in Utah.
And an FYI to those wanting to host, here is the link on how to become a SW host.

Tracy - if the membership decides to come to Maine for a Rally, we'd be honored to have you help us. We obviously would welcome the advice and/or help of anyone who has been very involved in the previous Shark Week Rallys. There's always something to be learned from others' experiences. (Besides, I'm afraid G-man SERGU would hit me if I suggested he be the ''Queen of Swag" for the event! )

Add me to the "interested" column. I'll throw my support behind it at SWIII.

Since the southern portion of the state has become over run with ultra liberals who have moved up from Massachusetts (I guess their work is done there!), and other more 'civilized' states, you never know what you'll get here any more. Hell, they just voted last week to legalize gay marriage here (... not that there's anything wrong with that!) so I guess everything is up for grabs here now.

As I've said before, doesn't really matter where it is, if I can make the arrangements, I'll be there. Further away just means more of an adventure. As far as a North Carolina Shark Week, I still feel that I'd need some serious assistance and/or leadership from someone closer to the target area. I'm just too far away to do it right, so I'm officially calling out anyone on the western end of the state that may have an interest. Be it for next year or further in the future. Rest assured that we can make it happen at some point but may not have things in place for a 2013 proposal. My hats off to anyone that has the chops to pull one of though. It's obviously a lot of work. Look forward to Utah and future Shark Weeks.
