The Ultra is tempting me

I don't know but I think my Ultra is cool and doesn't have what you guys call the Geezer factor, these pics were before I even added all the Willie G skulls and Heritage Style bars, oh the wife test rode a Custom and Ultra with me and was definitely more comfortable on the Ultra. Less money making your Ultra into a transformer than adding stuff I think. Don't ypu think we look cool for 50. LOL

I test rode an Ultra yesterday and it got me off of my CVO lol.

I'm not that old, but the years of wear and tear from work and playing football when I was younger are catching up to me, and my ass said I'm not getting back on the CVO. I was at a dealer 3.5 hours from my house and had stopped in for a t-shirt and poker chip.

Then I saw the RG Ultra with a chromed out front end and they put Agitators on it with a 200 rear tire. Went for a ride and that was all she wrote. 3.5 hours of smiles coming home, and once I got home and took the wife for a ride she wasn't pissed anymore.

It's a personal decision, my advice would be ride both back to back and see what "YOU" like best.

When I had my old Ultra Limited, my TP never came off. I used it too much, and couldn't justify the expense and hassle of making it removable. I love to ride and for me now it's about being comfortable. Now I have an excuse to go back to the Dragon because the new bike needs to go on it, lol.

Hello I am Danny and new to the forum. What is BBP and Daymaker? They must be after-market mods. Also I didn't notice that HD uses different striping on the Custom and the Ultra.

I am also trying to decide which one to buy.

I think BBP is big blue pearl a color option, one that I have. Daymakers are brand new LEDs that Harley came out with for the roadglide.

The Custom has a better Rear Fender...I have a Custom...which is now decked out with all the Ultra Stuff...either way it will be fun...I like taking off the lowers in the summer...Tourpak on or off depending on the trip...No Wires...No Lights...just that Smooth custom look...You can keep the Vox on board com system..I actually like talking to my GF when she is with me...and not thru a head set...she's inches away...and if not..talk to you at the next stop...You have a daunting task....but really totally up to what you want to do...I don't buy it's cheaper routine...I got a Great Deal on my custom..so adding the other extras was cheap...but I have friends in the business at HD..so I don't pay those prices....Good Luck in the Quest

I think you left an "L" off of pear. it should be Big Blue Pearl. Trying to image what color a blue pear is...

The comms are nice when two up or with a few people (cb). I agree on the rear fender being cooler on the custom. Thanks to the folks here, there is a parts list to make the rgu the same. Waiting now for the parts to come in.

I was surprised how well the comms worked two up. No matter what you get I guess you will mod it to make it your own... That's the fun..
