Awesome idea and post!!

I did it the lazy man's way... just bought the Flash2Pass kit and put that in

Had it on my last 2 bikes, best mod ever.

Had I seen this beforehand though, I would probably have just done this!

Find the momentary closed micro switch on the PC board for the opener. Make a small jumper wire, be sure the battery is installed, and the opener has power. Use the jumper wire to touch two contacts for the switch (on the back of the board) until the door closes.

Those are the ones you solder the wires to. Go easy with the heat, don't want to melt the board, or get a glob of solder on another terminal...

Default Garage Door Opener

You can actually select many different types, for instance, keyless entry for the children to place their bikes away, or maybe you can select a key chain remote to work with from your comfort and ease within your car. Chain drive, belt drive, screw drive and residential jackshaft models are available.

Great tip and works flawlessly. I performed this mod several months ago and I'am so pleased with the result. My range is about a half block from my house, so I can hit the "open" well enough in advance for me to just cruise right into the garage without having to stop in my driveway. Nice, because I have an up hill slant to the driveway.

All in all. one of the best things that I've done to my roadglide.. Thanks folks.
