Ya hate to admit it but left my cap on top of the pump a few weeks ago and didn't realize it till next fill up. Now I put it on the seat.

On the Tank
On the lever for fueling. Easy to find when you leave the gas station as well.

Thanks mmcmsw - just did mine took all of two minutes. If only I could figure out how to secure my lighter. Anyone ?

The ring idea is genius! I am always dancing with the gas attendant cause they are always so eager to help and stand in the way, Almost left mine a couple of times just out of frustration LOL

Nice tip - gotta love this forum - I've never done it but it's a PITA to deal with it at the pumps - nice to have a place to hang it

I found this thread while looking for a new cap online. Stopped to get gas for a ride today with the wife, and found out I left the cap some place (Wyoming). Oh well, I'm glad I'm not alone on this one.

I have replace mine once. Not because I left it behind, but because I dropped it and it came apart. I found all the parts but the spring, so I had to get a new one.
