I have had 30 hd's and 45k to me is not high mileage. Just sold my 10 LTD with 71k on it for $15,600. Have sold RK's with high mileage ~ close to 100k ~ I think he is being fair with the adds and seats.

sounds like a very good price! especially with all the extras..45k is not many miles at all,and they are probably mostly highway.Have the cam chain tensioners been replaced?

Change the cam out and Gear them cams and forget about the tensioner issues.. Had my 2004 electroglide with geared cams and it ran like a charm.

I just talk to him and this is what he said
I'm looking at an invoice, they were done @ 27672 miles
He also said he had them checked before he went to sturgess last year and they were good

2004 road glide
With tour pack I would pay up to 12.5 no miles on that plus it has a lot of extras

I think $9500 is a great deal on a clean Glide. I recently sold my 99 FXSTC w/48k miles for $8k. The roadie definitely has over $1500 more bells & whistles than my old Softail did.

I sold my 2003 Anniversary Road Glide about 3 years ago for $13,500 and I refused to throw in the matched Tour-Pac for that price. Sold the Tour-Pac on eBay for another grand. My was optioned out about the same. Different parts, but about the same value. I had around 30K on it.
So yeah, I'd say it's a good price. Could you find another 10 year old Anniversary R/G with less miles? Maybe, maybe not. The nice thing about this deal is you know the seller, and if you do have a major problem (which is probably unlikely, from the way it sounds) at least you can go to him, and perhaps work something out. Good luck trying to do that with some anonymous seller on eBay or Cycle Trader.
Don't worry about the miles too much. They're pretty simple machines and easy to fix. Check the cam chain tensioners, swing arm bushings, do a leak down compression test, and enjoy the ride...
