As far as the whole stupid "bars not following the headlights" thing goes, if you're going faster than 15mph, you're LEANING, not steering. AND, at higher speeds, if you are COUNTER STEERING, technically, your front tire will be turned very slightly to the OPPOSITE direction, which would put the beam of your headlamp (on a fixed fairing bike) slightly more to the center.
FUGLY? Well, that's up for debate, but the whole steering argument is ridiculous.

The Road Glide is taking off in popularity, even with other Haley Davidson models. Here is a company that makes a "Road Glide" conversion for a Dyna Glide and a Sportster.

My last bike was a full custom honda fury(pics in my album) and the guy who made all my custom fenders was also working on a frame mounted bagger conversion kit. I decided it was easier & cheaper (kit cost was $8-10k depending on paint) to just buy a road glide.

+1 on all the great handling and unique look of our sharks. Was always curious about the cornering/headlight gripe by batwingers. Never stared at the bars on any of my other rides. I tell people I would not buy another one to keep the herd thinned out. LOL

I do want to keep the secret safe, so usually just agree with whatever rude-ish comment, nodding my head
"it cost a little more to have the best"
"the road glide is more of a riders bike"
"yeah, steering a motorcycle is hard, especially in the snow"
