Default Dang Compensator

I have a 2006 RG. Last weekend I could hear what sounded like the primary chain hitting inside the primary. I limped the bike back home, put it up on the table and opened the primary inspection cover. Chain was correct tension so I pulled the primary cover off and found the compensator spring pack was torn open and the plates had been sticking out and hitting the inside of the primary case.
Of course, none of the local dealers stock it so it took a week to order a new one.
I had recently replaced the original spring pack about 6K miles ago because it was rattling.

Somebody posted a link on here for a new style compensator. MM002844. I wrote the number down and didnt write down who is making it. Looked to be a better design. maybe I can find the post. Its made by M&M Cycles.

Looks like it was bangin around pretty good. As far as locating the upgraded SE comp, they may be back ordered. I know mine was when i did it last year.

The HD SE compensator sprocket will not work on any touring model HD that was made in 2006 and earlier. The SE compensator will work in the 2006 Dyna with the 96ci engine and 07 and later touring models.

I don't know how many times people insist that the SE compensator is the answer despite me sayin this is a 2006 TC88. I even get this at the dealer parts counter until they look in the book and read it a second time. The M&M Cycles sells the SE version as well as sprocket changes for 2007 and later.
