Update on switch from EG to RG
Okay, been on my RG for 800 miles and so far LOVE it! The handling and cornering are by far better than on the EG. The only complaint I have is the handlebars. I am 5'11" and have to stretch. I blame this on Harley. The only reason I can see why I have to stretch is back when they went to the 6 gal tank. I'm not an engineer but even I know that when you made the tank larger it changed the placement on the seat and the bars should have been changed to accomodate that. Not a problem though, Tuesday I'm changing them to the heritage bars for RG. Gave me an excuse to get black ones anyway as I've blacked out the forks, exhaust, and intake (bike is black denim). The suspension is starting to loosen up and I know that it wont be long before the seat molds to me, making the long hauls that much better.

Welcome, the bars are usually one of the first things to go on the RG's that are not equiped with apes. I also don't know why Harley puts these on the RG's. You'd think they could do much better..

Welcome from north Arkansas. One of the best mods I've done was 12" rise bars. Made worlds of difference in the comfort level.
