Another LRS Mako customer
Showed up late last week, went with the 12" medium tint. Very happy with the outcome.
I'm 6'2" 36" inseam running HD crashbar deflectors and lowers. The wind is very managable slightly more of a breeze than with the HD 16" but zero buffeting. Did about 70 miles today, when I left it was about 35 degrees wearing a beanie cap and sunglasses everything stayed put and the radio was clear with volume slightly less than half way up speeds between going through town and 80 mph.
As far as the tint goes, no distraction so far, will have to see what its like after the sun goes down but so far so good. Only complaint (very minor) is I get a bit of reflection right at the top of the shield at the "flip up" but again its very minor and easily ignored.
Quality is top notch, optical clarity is near perfect and fit and finish is spot on. I would say you would be hard pressed to find a better shield at any price.

I've been on the fence about the LRS Mako, just looked at FB and saw they had a one day 50% off sale, so I bought one, I hope I like it.

Hey, killintime, still happy with your choice? I'm 6'2" as well, and the stock shield that comes on the Ultra hits me right about my top lip at line of sight. LRS says tip of nose, but looking for opinions from folks my height on what size they have
Thanks in advance
Scott

Scott, Haven't had much riding time as of late (damn winter in WI.) But I have really no complaints with this shield. The 12" pretty much fits me as described on the LRS site.
Now if only Spring would get here the world would be a better place!

well put about 100 miles with the 13inch LRS mako. so far no problems only issue I have is I had the dealer install the fairing trim piece. they said it was a bi--- to install well they are right so it now sits on a shelf in the garage. forgot to get the factory screws and washers, 35 bucks for 5 bolts and washers. won't do that again.
