Default Movement

Does anyone else experience a little back and forth movement of the bars. I know that there are bushings and that the bar clamps aren't fastened hard to the trips but, how much movement is acceptable? Just to clarify, the clamps are tight to the bars-no movement there.

Change out the bushings to urethane. The rubber bushings wear out pretty fast.

As stated above, change the bushings and then make sure the bolts from the bottom are good and tight.

I got the Screamin Eagle ones from the dealer. Bars are nice and firm now.
If you want to support a sponsor, Hill Country Customs has poly bushings.

The higher the bars the more impossible it is to keep them from "playing" a little either way. Had 21's on my last bike and even with the urethane bushings they moved a bit. BUT, they were a giant improvement.
