What about Clearview?
I read alot here about WV, LRS, Cee Baileys, and even Madstad . But not much about Clearview, or Freedom shields.
I have been looking at freedom (almost bought one) but I think clearview looks like a good functional shield that looks pretty good (i think a bit better than freedom) except maybe in the really large ones.
so Clearview is the way I am leaning at this point.
The only reason I have held off is I have been thinking of getting a different seat as well and if it sets me lower, then the shield will need to be shorter as well.
So any praise or criticism of Clearview or Freedom would be appreciated.

Clearview has been a great shield for me. I recently transferred the one that I had on my 2001 for 8 years, to my 2013. I'm hoping for at least the same service on the new bike.

I had a Clearview GT medium om my RGU, worked great for me, I took it off when I traded it in and kept it, I use it now on my custom when I go on the long runs, works great for highway.

Clearview used to be the top banana. They make awesome shields. Thing is there are many more and less expensive options now that are just as good. That is why you don't hear about them as much as you did a few years ago.

I can't comment on Freedom, but I had a CV XL on Hester for a year and loved it. It was just really big. Great product and I received great customer service when I called. Also, CV shields are one of a few that are OK with RainX. I upgraded to the MadStad before my Alaska trip. My XL CV is for sale, btw.

Another big plus for Clearview (may be others that do this too) is that the windshields are shipped with a stick-on covering on each side. If you mount it and leave the covering on, then take a test ride and decide you need taller or shorter, they will exchange it at no cost other than shipping.

How is the vented
Rode a goldwing with the vent in the heat of the summer and loved the ability to control the air on my chest and face. Does the CV vent with back pressure and buffeting on the RG like it seemed to on the Wing. I love my madstad but looking for a summer shield. Any input from the tank?
