Well, we are still waiting on a hardwired solution for the iPhone 5... still no word on when that will be ready. In the meantime, we have tried a new solution and it is working very well. It is a wireless solution and works for iPhone and Android devices that support bluetooth audio.

Check out our blog post for detailed information.

Default iPhone 5 Lighting Cable FINALLY released...

Well... after an insanely long wait, iSimple finally released a hard wired solution for iPhone 5 users with the lightning connector. This will charge AND output the audio from your iPhone 5!

There are, however, a few things to point out....

1. This solution includes a FM modulator. (The black box pictured above) The audio will be broadcasted thru an FM channel on your stereo. Not the best sound quality, but it gets the job done, and is a cleaner install since you don't have a cable running to the AUX input on the front of your stereo.

2. If you want to send the audio thru the front AUX input, you will need to purchase separately a 3.5mm to Female RCA adapter, shown below. (You can get these at Radio Shack, Best Buy, Monoprice.com, etc.) This will provide the best audio quality and eliminate the need to even use the FM modulator unit.

3. iSimple will be providing a lower cost solution WITHOUT the FM modulator. From what I have been told, it is going to be at least another few months before that is available.

We will not be placing this on our website until we have some instructions written up on it.

The manufacturer has a strict minimum advertised price of $119. If you would like to order one of these, please call Lindsey at 704-255-1780 ext. 1. She will take good care of you. Hint Hint ;-)

Thanks everyone!

Chris

Chris,

Thanks for the update on the new lightning Isimple connector. BUT I will wait for the non-FM modulator version. :-)

Well that was a LONG wait, but here it is!

iSimple IS7505 JamLink Lightning Connector Hardwire Kit

This will work on all Apple Devices with a Lightning Connector. We put the factory matching Deutsch plug on the power side so it is an easy plug-and-play connection. Also, the Jamlink normally does not come with a 3.5mm connection, so we sourced from the same manufacturer an RCA to Right Angle 3.5mm cable that connects to the AUX port on the front of the radio.
