Inner primary trim on an FLTRU

Anyone have this?

I want to put on the one I had on my RK. Parts catalog says it fits 09-up Touring.

Only problem is that the mid-frame heat deflector gets in the way.

I suppose I could shave the deflector down with a Dremel, but thats not a satisfactory option.

Will it work if I remove the deflector and put it back on once the trim is on?

I have one. Fits perfectly, never a leak either. Knock wood. Get some se255 cams and have them do the job at the same time. Save some labor dollars.

Thanks, but I think you misunderstand - I'm talking about the trim piece, not the actualy chrome inner primary.
