Advice from Cee Bailey TRSSC Owners Needed

Looking at buying a TRSSC for my RGC. I’m 5’9”, 30” inseam, stock suspension and seat. Need advice on either a 14” or 15” TRSSC, Dome or Euro. Website says 14”, but just want to make sure that’s tall enough. I’ve had a 12” Klock Werks Flair and it did not work very well. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd say the 14in would be about perfect for you. I'm 6'0 with a 32in inseam and have both a 14in dome, and a 15in Euro. The 14in is a little too short for me for wind ... I can see over it a good 3-4 inches and the buffeting is quite a bit more than the 15in Euro. I run the 14in most of the time because it looks better to me but can't quite bring myself to sell the 15in because it's better for wind. The old "form vs function" thing. lol

Given your dimensions, I'd say go for the 14in.

I agree, a 14" would probably be right for you.

I use a 16" Euro with a Mustang seat and I'm 6'1" with a 35" inseam. I went with the Euro because I figured it'd deflect around my shoulders better. It works great for me, the wind is just above my helmet and off my shoulders and I can see over it very well.

I would call them and ask them. I did, and they were full of info/questions. Do you want to look over it, or through it, do you want a little wind or no wind. I run the 15", and I am 6 foot, with a 30" inseam, lowered seat. I like wind, I like my sunglasses to stay on so 15" is just right, but they are the expert.

Thanks for the replies, Phil and Stephen. I still haven't decided on a 14” or 15", and as Flexin said, that 15" Euro looks great on your bike. I've read some post from 15" owners shorter than me that it works very well for them, and they can see over it just fine. I am going with the light tint by the way.

My biggest issue with any windshield has been wind noise and on the freeway I have to wear earplugs because it gets so loud. Phil, do you notice the Euro pushes the air father out around your head then the Dome? Granted, it’s a 15” vs your 14” dome.

From the side, there's really no difference visually between the Dome or Euro - they both look pretty much the same and equally good. From the front however, I think the Dome flows a little better with the fairing ... Euro just looks a little "wrong" to me. YMMV, of course.

Cee Bailey's told me there's no difference in wind protection between the Dome and Euro - "pretty much the same", I was told. I don't agree with that - I think the upper "shoulders" of the Euro help to decrease wind around the sides of the head. I know my Euro is an inch taller than the Dome, but I feel I get much better protection than a 1 inch advantage with it. So to answer your question, Keith ... yes, I think the Euro pushes air around your head farther than the Dome. Wind noise is definitely less.

Well, I contacted Cee Bailey’s today and after discussing a few things, I've decided on a TRSSC 15” Euro in Light Tint. With everything we discussed, they said the 15” would be my best bet. If it’s too tall, they will cut it down for free. If I got the 14”, that’s it and I’m stuck if with it if I needed a bit taller. Now, I wait…

I did it all through PM's from this forum. No idea who I was communicating with, but he/she was very helpful and got back to me fast. I was trying to beat the Thanksgiving sale deadline. Made it by 4.5 hours!
