Custom for me for a few reasons; rear light, lower rear end, and cleaner looking. I then purchased the quick release for my after market tour pack for the long trips. Works for my taste!

I am sure we have had this discussion before, so I will say I liked the rear fender. And so many other reasons.

Ultra, use everything on it. Love the paint job (big blue pearl), lowered my rear fender, I liked the custom rear end (glad they both come in the same color). Like more clearance for turns, form over function. Don't like dragging stuff. I would never take the tour pack off, (I say that today )
Goodness know what else I will do with it. I have a few more mods in line this winter. Who knew you could replace the gauges with digital ones. I guess that will be next year...

I bought the Ultra but part of the deal with the mrs was that I could "Custom" it, so here's my Custom. I guess I am different because I only put my TP on for the longer trips riding 2 up.

Hello, Lincolnton---from next door in Hickory.
I have an RGU and find the CB about as useful as the WX channel, which is not at all. Unless you are currently a CB addict, I would bet you won't mess with it on the bike.....could be wrong.
I had a friend splice the supplied cable for the intercom (the 7-pin connector end) onto a cable which plugs into my SENA bluetooth headset on my helmet. I can listen to the bike's radio, CD player, or CB--if I wish), in my helmet--through the SENA unit. The bike's controls are all still usable with this setup. Communications, phone calls, etc. are given priority in the SENA. It makes for a smooth system.
Give me a shout if you want to talk about this and see how it works........I'm frequently in Lincolnton helping support Dunkin' Donuts

Good point. I assume that the suspension on the Ultra is set up better for two up riding as well?

Absolutely. My wife is something of a lightweight, about 115, but I can't even tell she's on the bike (which she usually isn't).

I chose the Ultra since my youngest likes riding with me. I have a place to store the helmets when we leave the bike. Thought about doing a detach for the tourpac but I find it to useful. I do like the rear fender treatment on the classic so that's in the future plans.
