Whistle Sound
For my 2012 FLTRX, I added Rush true Dual header pipes and have Rinehardt 4" slip ons, High Flow Air Intake, and Screamin' Eagle race tuner (tuned by Black Wolfe HD in Bristol, VA). Definitely a noticeable increase in power. The one thing I don't like is that when I cross a bridge with solid sides and happen to be accelerating pretty hard, we can hear a whistle sound that seems to be coming from the breather. Is there anything that can be done to git rid of this short of a different intake?

i have the heavy breather on my bike and i have never heard a whistle sound out of it. I hear the usual "sucking" soud and it pulses with the exhaust, but a whistle? Not familiar with that. Maybe it was not installed correctly or maybe its got a leak or something but a whistle definitely doesnt sound normal. not to me at least.

I am starting to hear the same thing on mine. All stock btw.
Used to happen a lot on my Road King. Never figured out why. Damn noise gets annoying. It's more of a chirp.

I'm getting an odd whistling sound on my Stage 1, but at an idle. I really notice it as I pull back into my garage. Might be a different symptom than what you're referring to, I don't notice it while riding, but it could just be the exhaust drowning the sound out.

I know, I know!
I know how to make it stop.
You have a couple of options;
1) Turn the stereo up so you can't hear it.
2) wear ear plugs so you can't hear anything.
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Sounds like a leak around the flange of the air cleaner. Rain sock can also make the intake make funny noises.
