Yes, no one was hurt. I have the wheel and tire here at the house. I think I'll keep it as a reminder. The impact was right under the spoke. I don't know if it would have held up the same way if it had hit in between the spokes. Does anyone know who makes the OE rims?

Kudos to you for keeping her upright.
Kudos to the dealer for taking care of you like that.
And kudos to Karen for staying on
Glad to hear only the bike was damaged.

Headed to Colorado back in the day in a hail storm in Kansas a buddy of mine hit a chuck hole and bent his front rim but the tire didn't go flat. Rode it the rest of the way to Colorado....all over the mountains and back to Kentucky before he replaced it. Looking back the phrase 'young and dumb' come to mind L L.....
Glad it all worked out for you and no one was hurt. Big thumbs up too for the Harley dealer stepping up to help as well!

Way to maintain your composure, and ride it out....nice job!
Whenever I'm following a cage, I try to make a conscious effort to not ride in the middle of the lane, for that very reason. Cagers see a small object in the road, that they know they can straddle, and don't even tap the brakes. Not a lot of time to react, when it pops out from under their bumper. I like to ride right in a cages wheel track. Figure they don't want to hit anything, any more than I do! If they swerve, i swerve. Least I hope so, anyway.
Glad you and the lady were without a scratch. Bikes are easy to fix.
Jeff
