These pics will make you cry
Transportation company just picked up my Street Glide to delivery to it's new owner. The guy said I had to take a look at the bike up at the front of the trailer.
What a shame. He didn't know what happened. Just that it was picked up in New Orleans and was being taken to NJ to be shipped overseas. Looks like it spent a minute in "the tank". LOL

Is that swamp water in the saddlebag or what, and what is the film all over the bike? I wonder if whoever its being shipped to knows what they're getting.

Judging from the overall look and amount of water IN the bags.........I think the shark was IN the sea, trying to make a swim for it before deciding to take the high/dry truck and boat route
Pretty sad to see, without a doubt, makes me wonder how may bikes are out there in the same shape after super sandy reared her ugly head

Dunno if it was swamp water or just dirty water. The film is dust and dirt. Apparently the bike spent some time under water. And I am sure they do. As I said it is being shipped overseas more than likely to be rebuilt or stripped for parts.

The bad part is that probably has a salvage title now, but who will know that if is indeed stripped and sold part by part. We had the same problem after Katrina with used cars and used parts for cars, you have to carefully inspect each part for the smallest amount of rust or mildew or water damage, fresh water on steel parts is bad enough, but salt water is rot waiting to happen, and soon.

That is a FRESH CATCH!!!
My question is,.. why was the seller so lazy that he just leaves the water in the saddlebags. Why not at least dump them out to make it a little easier to load up for the poor freight guy thats gotta push that water logged thing around.

Yep... it WAS in the sea. Look at the rust inside the mufflers and streaming down from the saddlebag pins. It's scrap and not worth the shiping cost.
