Get your inner fairing painted (cheap)-South, FL!
I have been in contact with Paul Barber, he's the guy from Craigslist, Facebook, etc that everyone is talking about. He does an exchange program for a painted inner fairing. If I can get enough people he will come down to the Miami Area and swap out some fairings, he's up in Jacksonville. I have seen his work myself on a couple bikes I ride with that have had the miles put on and nothing has chipped, flaked, etc. if you are interested in participating in this let me know. My plan is to have him work in my garage so he's out of the heat and everyone can swing by my place. He says it takes him about an hour to do the swap, for about half what the dealer wants for the fairing without labor included you can get yours swapped out, but he will be taking your stock fairing. The price depends on the color you want/need, and whether you have drilled any holes into yours to mount a GPS, power vision, etc. if you have opened up your inner fairing for extra speakers it's a no go.
I can be reached at: ffgabeorta@gmail.com
This was posted with permission, I am not affiliated with Paul, I just rather have him come to me than drive 5-6 hours for the fairing swap.
Thanks
FM
** Update- (12/01/12)- Have the minimum amount of people needed, if anyone else wants in, email me. I will post the cut-off date to jump in on this when I know it.

I got rained on riding home from work this morning, but at 70 degrees it wasn't so bad... . Gabe I'm still looking for an inner, e-bay is a little crazy right now. I'm looking at getting one from a friend who already has one from HD.

This would have been great but I just picked up my painted inner fairing yesterday from the dealer. It took only 2 months to come in. I've done the work on a batwing, so hopefully a RG is not more difficult.

We can't ride all year, and that's what you North Folks don't get. We don't have a winter, but we have this season in the middle of the year called Rainy Season, when the rest of you guys are out riding, so in the end it evens out, except the ins companies don't take our rainy season into consideration for our rates like they do your winter.
Every year, without fail, we get rain for about a month straight!
