Personally, I'd throw a street glide light bar on there, a laydown tail light and ditch the fender tip light, give the '01 an update fascia looks great, show it off!! Plus the fender tip light is no longer at the tip of the fender

Just my $.02, not that I know anything anyway though

I also have an '01 and am considering the facia, my plan is to purchase/modify/fabricate lic plate mount using those 3 holes you are concerned with.

I also just bought a Kuryakin narrow turn signal bar that will be going to powder coater this week, as they don't offer it in BLACK

I'm a fan of a lot of lights myself. What really matters is what you like. I would probably change the amber indicators out to red and make them run/stop/ turn, I think that would match a little better and add to the safety.
