Great write up, I keep the harnest as is, lights works great but just reallized my rear running lights not working, brakes and turn signals work, could this be from the installation
Has anyone ridden with the DayMakers in moderate to heavy fog yet. Seems that brighter lights are more blinding in fog. I know highbeams area bad idea in the fog (& heavy snow). lmao
I want these lights but we get a bit of fog here and I do not want to have worse visability during fog. Yes cagers may see me coming from further away which is very good but I just want as much info as possible before spending $$$.

Not really, I did the same thing. The more bright points of light you have the more visible you are. Even when I had halogens in both, they did not really add much light to the street, but they were two additional points of light for oncoming traffic. The LED Kuryakyn's with the LED headlights are about as good as the Halogen Kuryakyns with Halogen headlights. But now you have them color matched

The parts book shows a color of 5500K on page 644.

Here are a few HID color temperature charts to give you an idea how each step looks in color. The Daymaker will be a fine match with the Dynamic Ringz. I run them with my Trucklite LED headlight on my SG and the look good together.
Must the fairing come off to replace the headlights?
Yes. The fairing has to come off. You need to add a reinforcement bracket to mounting location. Also requires you drill two holes for the bracket studs... its not hard, just take your time.

+1 It is not hard to install at all. The only part I wished they explained (or shown a picture) is installing the heat shield and the cable ties. I just laid it over the cables on the left side and tied it up ... not sure if that is right or wrong.
