What has it cost you to tune your glide?

I've paid $300 at JETT TUNING here in Camarillo. John (tuner) is the guy who writes the tech advice section in Rider Magazine. Good people to work with. No problems anytime I take it back in to hook it up to his computer and make adjustments for better fuel economy or other adjustments.

Fuel Moto Power Vision. Will flash tomorrow, hope it works! Just didn't like the idea of a dyno. Set for any future mods for the price of a phone call to Jaime for a map.

I bought my bike used. Former owner said he had it tuned at his local HD shop in SC. It ran incredibly rich and had no power. I paid $225 at Barely Legal Bikes in Athens, AL - Independent Cycle shop. They'll work on anything. They let you watch the process (and provide hearing protection!). Took about an hour.

The DC area has a V E R Y wide range of :

- opinions from tuning techs

- capability and proficiency of tuning techs

- price range = flat rate of 250 to a per hour charge from a stealer who INSISTS his guy requires 11 hours to tune correctly

Another stealer INSISTS a dyno is a waste because his "guys can flash a perfect tune".

I look fwd to the day when the AT HOME tuner is perfected (sort of).

I just paid $395 at Skips in Winchester. Too much money IMO, but they came highly recommended and did a good job. My local stealer wanted $400, but I'm not a fan of taking my bike there. I found another Indy not too far away that only charges $200 according to their website, but I could not find anyone who had used them for anything let alone a dyno tune.

In the future I will likely invest in a Thundermax if I do major mods again and never do another dyno tune.

Skip did 3 or 4 tunes for me too over the years -- never a problem -- but his prices have gone up. My favorite tuner tech left my current stealer and went to a stealer that I will not enter again -- they tried to kill me -- twice. I agree with u about investing in a home tuner eventually --- DOOF
