I have the same LEDs and lens, and I not have to modify anything.
The Custom Dynamics LEDs are great and very bright

I think they are the best option, and yes they are plug and play

BAL had a prototype for the FLTRX and FLHX back in April of 2011, they even had a picture posted on FB, it looked good, they said they had to make a few changes, well here it is almost two years later and absolutely nothing. I gave up and went elsewhere.

We just installed the CD LED's front and back with the triple play on both of our RGC. Very bright. I had changed out my tri bar a few weeks earlier to the one that acts as a running and brake light. I was pleased to find that now the tri bar strobes or flashes right along with the tail lights. Lots of threads on here with visuals of what goes where.

are you planning on getting a new rear fender as well? the one on the custom does not have the 'dimples' that the other fenders have for mounting the taillight.

I have Kury Panacea on my FLTRU (in red) and on my Road King (in smoke). In both cases I get great comments regarding brightness. Highly recommended.

Just put on the CD light. Fits like a glove and is bright. Thats all I asked for.

I have the CD red LEDs with the stock red lenses and they are BRIGHT. my friend was riding behind me and at a stop he said there was something wrong with my lights. That my brake lights were on all the time. Of course they weren't, but that is how bright they are in running mode.
