Biketronics says no LE needed

So I called up Biketronics to ask about a Load Equalizer for the 2013 CVO RGC. I noticed the one BT 801M appeared to be a six pin plug and I know that Custom Dynamics version was 8 pin for the CVO. She recommended the BT 801 which is an 8 pin...but it appeared to have a different configuration than the CD version. So not sure if that will work?

But as we were talking, she said that I wouldn't need an LE for just doing front signals. That I could set up my bike to adjust the flashing to slow down by disconnecting the battery a couple of times.

Has anyone tried that? I wouldn't mind saving some $ if I don't really need it.

Thread on the CVO site that a member just put front LEDs on his bike. He did not do the rear and is not using an LE but said if he did the rears then he would need to add one.

As far as the battery disconnect, I have no idea if he needed to do that or not.

A load equalizer is required if you have LED front AND rear signals. So no, it is not needed for one set only.

Question then. If you end up doing both, would you need equalizers for both front and back or just for one?

One LE covers the entire bike but you only need it if you change front and back.

I ordered alloy art ones from Eastern. I know a couple people on here with the same set up that swear they didnt need a LE with fronts only. Good luck.
