You being from GA, I must believe you are poking fun.

I like the McRib. Aside from Breakfast, it is about the only thing they have I like. Yes, it is fake BBQ, sometimes a bone slips in, but for fast food, not bad. But for being a BBQ Joint, hell no. Oklahoma Joes in KC. Bandana's in St. Louis is good, for a local chain. Pappy's Smokehouse in St. Louis is supposedly the best in town.

Another Oklahoma Joes in KC fan here. Either location is excellent but here are a couple other of my favorites in and around KC. Guy and May's in Williamsburg KS, Papa Bob's in Edwardsville KS, BB Lawnside in KC, Hayward's, Quicks BBQ in KC. KS.

If you are in Nashville give Hog Heaven a try. Just a walk up window with picnic tables next to Centennial Park.

Snow's in Lexington, Texas. It was unknown except to locals until Texas Monthly named it best in Texas a few years back. Naturally that means best in the world. The Learning Channel saw it that way as well in a show they did a couple years ago.
Only open on Saturday, 8 am til they sell out, which is usually about noon.

You know I am (poking fun). I'm actually partial to my own ribs & brunswick stew but... I've been known to grab the gal, hop on the bike, and cruise the 1.5 hours to slop some vittles at McGhin's Southern Pit BBQ in Griffin, GA.

Good. Had me going there!
I smoke my own. Good forum on smoking your own (not referring to the progressive States of Colorado and Washington) is http://www.bbq-brethren.com
So my message to fellow Road Gliders in the Q baren land of Long Island, is to smoke your own. 'Course can't be pulling along your smoker as you ride. So I like this thread of where to get good BBQ elsewhere than home. While travelling and riding, I plan to query this thread if it continues to grow.
