I tell you what. I am up for a good day of riding and ending up in Harry Truman's town for some BBQ and BS. I think I could throw something together to make everyone happy.

If you are ever in New Philadelphia, Ohio, be sure to eat at Hog Heaven. Harley oriented decor, excellent BBQ. The brisket is out standing.

The brisket sandwich is kickass and they give some generous portions. Big boys bbq is south of L street on 108th. Also close to i-80 just east of the exit. The guys are less sit fown and mostly catering/takeout. Everything is amazing and mondays is brisket special while wed is the full rack of ribs. The last one is Swine Dining in old towne bellevue down on the far east side of mission ave. Not close at all to anything if your passing through but this is a great joint. They cook the ribs to the point where they fall off the bone literally (they shouldn't do that but its still tasty!!). The sauce is really good and not overly sweet and if you leave hungry, that's your fault!

I'll second the Ozark joint and chime in with Big Red BBQ at Blondo and 174th (I think). I just keep going on Blondo until I see the 20 x 20 "N" Husker flag. Their BBQ nacho boat rocks!!! I would have never thought of it, but once you try it, it's hard for me to order anything else in that place. Plus, they make their own potato chips with rub seasoning. My kids think they are the best chips in Omaha.

Being a North Carolina native, this is how I grew up eating BBQ, with the vinegar based sauce...ladies and gentlemen, the quote above IS the perfect BBQ lunch straight out of HOG HEAVEN...aaaaahhhhh Lexington, North Carolina. I need a vacation to get back to the good stuff. I've had to convert my tastebuds to beef here in the Midwest.

I know I went back to back with quotes, but I didn't see the Lexington BBQ post until after...sorry. Some things are just sacred. The Omaha joints don't get taken off the list, but they do slide down the scale a little bit.

Sounds like a plan when it comes down to it can't beat homemade some of the big bbq places shot cut and hit it with liquid smoke and if you eat good bbq you can tell.Your wright Jim the more you can get in the smoker the better.Big T'S by eastwood trfw. in his dads old place when you walk in has the old brick smoker going packed with meat the smell makes you hungry and you see it hmm good stuff.Do you cook your beans under the meat so the grease and smoke gets into them love me some beans but it don't make boss to happy

Oklahoma Joe's. Just ask Tracy, Frankie and Myrtle. They rode 1100 miles in one day just for their BBQ (and in the rain, too).
