+1 we're all friends here looking for good advice (although I suppose that could be construed as advice). I saw some of those deflectors on a naked street bike a few weeks back on base...must admit, looked a little gaudy, but didn't get to talk to the owner about effectiveness. Whatever you decide, it's your bike, bro...might as well give them a shot. I don't imagine they're all that expensive or hard to install.

Pick up a set of heated gloves(or glove liners), and a heated vest. With just that, you'll be able to ride in seriously miserable weather, and still be relatively comfortable. They don't take up much room, and no wrenching required!

Put them on this fall, and they make a huge difference. THought about getting them painted to match the bike, but i like how they sort of disappear too.

Those are much different than the ones I saw. I like those (yours) much better...the deflectors I saw completely enclosed the brake and clutch levers and attached to the grips. I think personally that those would look better not painted to match. Do you get the wobble that one poster mentioned could be possible?

I use these on both bikes to break the wind in colder weather:

chrome ones on the apes on my dyna, and black ones on the roadie.They really break the wind when it's in the 30's or so,keep fingers from going numb.

with these I can get by without gloves or with light gloves a lot of times when you'd normally have to break out the heavy winter gloves.

no wobble concerns,and they don't look bad.

I like those for riding in the cold. How easy are they to take on and off?

I dont even notice these deflectors when they are on, besides my hands stay warmer. no wobble.

These attach to the mirror stems. Because i dont have mirrors, i bought a couple of nuts and bolts to fit in the stock mirror location. Very easy to take on and off.

Ya know the expense of heated gloves an thermo, an the wires hangin out from a cut, then swappin out gloves and getting the wires in the way of your wuaker. Don't know the brand, they have batteries in the gautlet and under $100.
