Default J&M Rokker Speaker & AMP Review

To start out with I had the standard 6" J&M speakers then added the 250w amp.
Unfortunately the installer turned the amp all the way up and I blew one of my standard speakers.

Yesterday, we installed the new J&M Rokker speakers and turned the amp down.

I must say I'm really impressed. I'm running the amp at minimum power --turned most of the way down. When on the freeway I'm travelling 80mph and have the volume on my stereo at 50% I can hear everything plain as day and I wear a 3/4 helmet!

In my opinion--- great sound
and power. I've got full range from my CD and and the radio is finally nice and loud! I couldn't be happier--Thanks J&M!

100% better than stock and worth the bucks for me----

Bill

Took some photos of the speakers--sorry none of the install--These speakers are larger
in the fairing and do take up more room. These are J&Ms new Rokkers with the 250 amp installed!

Looks good! I need to upgrade my sound system. My LCD in my HK radio has gone out. I can't decide on sending it to Iron Cross Audio to be fixed or go aftermarket. Plus I want to add an amp and upgrade the speakers. I thinking of going with J&M Rokker speakers and amp.

fitter ,,,,,

personally, I would send your Harley HK radio to Iron Cross Audio for repair/update ,,,,, as the replacement radios that I have seen are not particularly impressive in the long run ,,,,,

any thought on using the new Rockford Fosgate Media Center sold by bagger nation i really want to use this weather proof head unit with the Rokker 500 amp. Can anyone confirm if this set up will truely work. All ive heard is the Harley HK radio with the Rokker amp. Well i have an older bike 2004 RG and i hate the radio and want to upgrade to a weather proof after market and really want the J&M rokker amp and speakers to work with it. HELP????

amorgan13 ,,,,,,

should not be a problem as I am sure that new unit has RCA out jacks built into it as part of it's design ,,,,,,

connect it direct with RCA-RCA cables ((radio shack is one good source)) and adjust the amplifier gains as per this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6C5MiRGq1Y ,,,,,,,

here is another video that compares various speaker choices to the J&M ROKKER XTs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmzDOMX32gA ,,,,,,,

please let me know how they work for you ,,,,,,,

Just got the rokker speakers and 250 amp. Good sound in my garage, too cold for a road test though.

Default Rokker XT 7.25

Will the new Rokker XT 7.25 fit in an 2004 road glide. I read its only for 06-current model. What can be done to make the xt fit in the front speaker grill area in the front stock fairing?
