Factory scallops
I love my vivid black RGU but am not a big fan of the brown scallops that comes with it. Has anyone done anything to them to improve the looks? I thought about having the brown ghosted in with skulls then have smoke wrapped around the whole thing, but not comletely sure. If you have "enhanced" the scallops on your bike, can you post a couple pics?

With vivid black you have many options as just about any color will match. Pick a color theme that you like. You could go two-tone red, blue, or green. Or do something like a silver pinstripe with a dark grey fill. Endless options limited only by your imagination and taste.
Personally I am not a fan of the shade of blue in the stripes of my BBP. Gonna eventually have them painted black pearl.

Had the same issue with mine. Love the black and hated the scallop colors. Here's what I had done and I love it. Good luck!

The nice thing about my painter (a friend) he started with the Silver and faded the color so it matched the tank, side covers and bags. I was really happy how it came out and it made a world of difference in the look.
One thing he told me is, the decal is bedded in plenty of clear so it wasn't hard to sand it down a little and add the new paint and graphic's. He also had a perfect match in his pinstriping paint to match the factory striping.

Thanks guys. I'll post more pics of the bike once its all back together maybe later this week. Here's the other side of the fairing. Being from Louisiana, I like the Fleur Des Leis design.

that scallop was the first thing i removed. i hated it. makes the bike look old. I had the front fairing re-painted. sold all the stock bags, side panels, front fender, etc... and got new takeoff street glide parts. now its all black and i love it.
