They are the HD extentions that came on the older CVO models.

That looks good. We're did you get the parts from? All one source or multiple?

I really need to stay away from the forums or I am gonna go broke. I just ran across a thread on the other forum about the V-Twin Mfg CVO style slant saddlebags.

Custom Stretched ABS Extended Saddlebags for Harley Touring

These are very tempting but I would have to go with the CVO fender set-up to complete the look. If I did go with the CVO fender I would prolly go with the International version to retain the actual taillight. Won't be this year for sure.

Rlaf75 bike looks real sweet and the extensions are growing on me, I wonder if the darker the color of the bike will make the extensions blend in or stand out ? Also the black button on the rear lower fender have you found anything to replace it with ?

Thanks. I did replace that lil black button. I used the CVO fairing skull medalion. The button is simply stuck on with double sided tape, so is the lil skull.

your bike looks good as well as does the op's. but the big difference in the route you took vs the 'kit' is the location of the license plate. using the stock fender puts the license plate up higher on the fender, vs the cvo style which has the plate closer to the tip. for some people that may be worth the extra couple hundred bucks. others not so much.

It still should be stuck on. It covers a resessed divot that has a bolt through it to bolt a bracket inside the fender.

Thanks and you are correct. The only difference is the plate location. Mine sits about 6"s higher on the fender then a factory CVO or the fender kit. To me it wasnt worth replacing the fender but to each their own
