I remember seeing a thread about this same subject over in HD Forum, it can be done, but there are some modifications that need to be done. You may want to check there. Or you could get an 88 that's been bumped to a 95 and go with a BDT 6. BTW, welcome to the forum.

burph, i consulted with darcy danger at hawkeye harley and he thought it would work with little modification but was going to check with techs and let me know. if not he would be willing to sell you a new bike, you wouldn't get as dirty changing bikes rather than engines.P.S. welcome to the forum ;lurker
