Question on Vance and Hines Pro Pipe.
I heard a Propipe HO the other day, loved the sound, but it doesn't come in chrome.
Can anyone tell me if the reg pro pipe Chrome has that great sound with the conmpeteion baffle that you get from the black HO version.

I'm running the Vance and Hines 2-1 Chrome Pro pipe. I'm currently using the quiet baffle and it is plenty loud enough. I love the deep throaty sound it puts out. My wife took over our 06 Fat Boy with Vance n Hines dual long shots (loud). Before my exhaust was changed she was laughing at me and giving me the buisness at signals. NOT ANYMORE. I have the Competition baffle as well but haven't used it. According to Vance n Hines site the difference in sound is 3 - 5 dB. I might try the HO or Competition baffle in the future after engine mods and tune it again. I was told if I changed baffles I'd need to have it tuned again. I suggest going to their website and or calling them. You should be able to get it in chrome.

For the HO, the V&H website states Black only. The Chrome can be had in the standard version.
Baffling, I know.
You can also get the stainless in the HO, but it's 1K! Hell no! lol

Get a Dragula, problem solved.
To say more than that, lol, the pro pipe has a "sportier" sound to it if you will, and the Dragula has more like a muscle car sound to it. Guess it would depend on the sound you are after. Franks pipes perform, they have great fit and finish, they sound great, and have good service behind them. You also will be hard pressed for a pipe of similar quality for the price. My old duals from him were mellow at cruising speeds, even when "cruising" at 80 (not that I do that it's speeding ), but when you crack the throttle you are heard.

I have the 2 into 1 chrome pro pipe. Sounds great at cruising and awesome when you crack it. No regrets at all with it.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about Dragos, but I just can't put that moeny out without seeing and hearing one, and no one around here has one.
I've heard a few Pro Pipes, wtih different baffles, and I know that I like the looks and sound of one.
There is even one for sale on this site, at a good price, but it's got the 2009 o2 sensor holes. I don't know that I can change those and not effect the tune.
Probably just end up ordering the Pro Pipe around tax time, along with the daymaker headlight. I'm hopeful one of the 20% off sites will order the pipes for me along with the headliight.
UNtil then, my Rush slip ons will have to do!
Keep the posts coming folks, I have a while to make my final choice.

Which baffle are you running? Quiet, stock, or competition?
I Heard the quiet the other day, didn't care for it. I have heard it stock, liked the sound. Never heard the comp.
I did hear the black HO the other day, REAL good sound. Just don't want black..
