Battery life

Out here in the harsh desert environment a battery will usually only last a couple of years... maybe three. After that you're just living on borrowed time. Even with a battery tender. And, I carry jumper cables in a saddlebag too.

I got my last battery at Batteries Plus. Same exact Deka battery (minus the bar & shield) for about $30 less. Oh, and it comes with a 24-month warranty instead of 12.

Feel free to correct me, but if I'm not mistaken Deka (EAST PENN manufacturing co) is who makes the battery for H_D. - Battery Mart sells them under thier own "name of "Big Crank ETX30L Battery" they are also made by Deka and for $100.00 delivered and a 1yr. warranty I think it's hard to beat ,

$100 not bad. Wish I saw this early this year
when I bought a battery for my other bike. Had to use the dealer, not many options in podunk Northetn Japan. Definatly will save that link for the next time. Cheers...

Bought a 05 Deluxe new and never changed battery, traded it in on 13 RGX Dec. 20012, always kept it on battery tender.
