I would like some input on a Cam for my new 107 build. Its a 2008 Roadglide , I already installed a set of S&S 583 Cams in the 96 inch. Now I have the Jugs at GMR to have them bored to 107 and a set of CP pistons, The Heads are going to Big Boyz for their Street Port. I'm running a Woods 7 Cam in my 2003 Road King and it hits hard and makes good #s so I thinking of the 777 or 555 for my 107 but I'm really not sure if it will make a big enough difference to spend the extra cash on them. I thought about running it with the 583s and then changing if I'm not happy but to run the 583 I need to have a 5cc dish cut in the Pistons to keep it under 10.1 that S&S recommends so that will not be enough compression fot the Woods Cams. I guess bottom line is if the Woods will only give me 4-5 HP and 10 TQ im not sure uts worth it. FoI also need to mention I have a 30 tooth Trans. Pulley and a 68 tooth rear Pully for it
Since the jugs are at Gmr, why not ask Steve. He builds a truck load of 107 kits and tunes them...... he has installed all sorts of cams with the Bob kits, so get his valuable input first . Personally, I would stick with the s&s cam, as you have it already and it will be fine at that comp.
I think I'd run the TMan 600 SuperMax in this application. If the compression is more than your dyno operator is capable of comfortably tuning, I'd go with the TMan 555C cams.
