Default Mako

Got my 13" medium tint Mako installed today. The shield works great! I love it my passenger loves it. I went from a 14" Cee Baily because the Cee worked good for rider, SUCKED for passenger. Pros of LRS Mako- good looks, great performance. Cons: wish the holes were not slotted, wish it had the black area around the bottom of the shield(medium tint shows mounting area). I will be contacting LRS about this as positive customer feedback-not complaining.

I bought a 13 inch dark tint mako after reading the first reviews and I haven't tried anything else and don't see a reason to ever change I think it's a awesome shield thanks for posting the review

Just ordered the 14 inch Mako in light tint to replace the stock 16 inch that came on my 2008 RG. I'm 6'3 with 34in inseam and wanted something with simular performance but more aggressive looking. I took a level and measured from the top of the radio housing as stated on their web site. This gave me 8 inches. The stock shield on its slope measured 9 inches from top of the radio housing. So just a waiting game now.

Default LRS Mako

tinted the bottom of my medium tint shield, installed 2013 RG windshield trim, put black closed top screw caps on(covers the slots in the shield). N ow it looks as good as it works. Two thumbs up.

I like my 13 but I feel like a 14 or 15 would be better.

My 2008 FLTR 14inch Mako Vs 2013 FLTRX with 12 inch Klock Werks. Very close in height based on the 2010 and newer models having the fairing higher and on a different angle.
My first impression is the new 14 in Mako has similar performance for me as the stock 16 shield but looks better. The Light Tint looks great and works very well with the dark blue pearl.
