I bit the bullet and ordered

RF 300 x2 amp
2 sets of MM 651 polks

Still need
Hawg wire Sony install kit (dragos)
CVO lower pods (PCM pain)

I hope this works well together. This site Has been very useful but has cost me a lot of money.

I have the Sony 310 and like it. The upside is the "tune tray" is wonderful - my Ipod lives in there. I never take it out. The down side is that the screen is unreadable in bright sun. I have heard the marine version is better in the sun, but the 310 has a better equalizer.

I have a JL Audio amp (400/4) and two sets of JL Audio component speakers (ZR650's) in the fairing. The second set of speakers and the more powerful amp really really improved the sound system. I had an ARC system with their mini amp and one pair of their component speakers - pulled them out after about 6 months.

You'll like the Sony.......
