Jeez what a difference ! No surprise, the HD rotors I bought only 5k miles ago both warped. I had also tried RC rotors to match the RC wheels at purchase - but - those "arrived" warped -- most disappointing.
Put on LRB Indy composite rotors and LRB Gold Pads.
1. Front end now "feels" the road - no more sanding down.
2. Stopping is REE-DIK-U-LUSS !!!
3. Fast, smooth, smooth.
4. Dust on the chrome wheels ? SIGNIFICANTLY less -- almost none.
Yes on LRB.
Also had their rotors on my 04 -- they were saweeeet too.
DOOF
Never tried LRB rotors but their organic pads are a MUST!!! Work great and almost no dust, especially no more iron dust and associated corrosion/rust.
HD must be trying to make a fortune on their wheels by using sintered-iron pads instead of organic. Suggestion... if buying an HD from a stealer, take enough new LRB organic pads with you and hand them to the salesman with a smile.
I run these rotors on my Dyna and love them as well. They are super light, a lug drive design that actually floats and stop on a dime. I cannot say enough about these. One more thing, they have a lifetime warranty from Lyndall.
They were running a sale when I bought -- yes, comparatively they are expensive -- but go thru 2 sets of warped HD? Nope, I'm done with HD rotors. Give LRB a call and ask for Paul.
We sell them for less than retail. I am not a sponsor so I try not to advertise what I sell on here.
