I rode a new Yamaha 1987 Venture 1300 (fixed fairing ... with the trunk removed) for over 20 years, loved the look of just saddle bags & big fixed fairing & MUSIC. Then I saw the 09 RG CVO and said "hey, they copied my look" and bought the Electric Orange machine !
I hadn't seen many RG's prior to the 2009 CVO - I now love the 2001 RG CVO in Blue
My friends saw my RG and said "Wow - that bike is YOU"
btw- I had 6" x 9" speakers in my saddle bag lids back in 1990 ... just ahead of the curve - a non-conformist.

You don't see many here in central Georgia. Any time I stop at the Stealership, when I come out there are usually a couple of people checking mine out. No one has called it ugly yet. People around here don't dog other biker's rides. At least not to their face. My buddies don't make fun of it. I love the look and the ride and that's my opinion.
It's all about the fairing!!! I love my 2012 glide....best riding bike on the market. If you don't like the looks - ride one and it will change your mind!!
