I've uploaded instructions for this install with pics in the DIY section of the forum. I also have them in pdf if you want. Great mod. Looks much cleaner.

Cheers,

I was going to do this too but lakeshore prices are $141 for the filler strips that are matched painted. No big deal but I couldn't figure out how they mounted without drilling. bought some for My 06 electraglide and they bolted right on. So, If I read this right, you HAVE to drill the fender to install them?

I bought the fillers when my bike was new but after putting one side on I found that the saddlebag support on the other side didn't have a flange on it that was needed to mount the filler. I was going to MacGyver something but figured for $140 it should fit right out of the box. Turns out (at least for a 2012 RGU) you need to buy an Electra Glide bag support as it has the flange. Was like another $100 for that part. Dealer did agree to take back the set after it was half mounted. Turns out there was some "Does not fit..." footnote that wasn't in the parts guide.

If the fender doesnt already have the holes there then yes you need to drill or take your chances with double sided sticky tape. Drilling the holes really isnt that bad. Mask off the fender, hold the fascia in place and mark where you want the holes. Put a piece of wood between the fender and tire to both keep the fender from flexing when drilling and to prevent yourself from buying a new tire after the bit pokes through it
