1980 road glide wiring

1980 FLT has crushed, frayed and intermittent wiring problems.. I am hoping to find a wiring diagram for this machine. Specifically, ignition and lighting. Is this info available and downloadable? Any assistance in steering me in the right direction for diagrams would be appreciated and whatever info on bike is required I can provide. TKS in advance, bsamot69 in SoCal

You need to find someone/someplace that has the 1980 HD service manual. It has the wiring diagrams in it although the quality of them back then doesn't compare to today's diagrams.

Thanks for the try Eddie. Trouble is that is not for the FLT Rubber Glide. It is for the solid mount frame Shovel 4 speed transmission FLHS.
It is close and can be used as a guide. But there are major parts left out of the one you posted. First it does not show the instrument panel. Then, the ignition switch is different.

Give me a chance. I have a service manual for early 1984-1986 FXR/FLT. The diagrams are not for the 1980, but they are very close. I will make a copy and Photobuclet them. Then I can post them.

The only difference I found is the center gage on the '80 is a volt meter. The later ones is a Fuel Gage.
