TL: actually yes. Make sure you scrape along, and inside, the pre drilled holes. You want to smooth it out as much as possible. Missed a small "splinter" and it started cutting through the wires. Had trouble starting the bike. Luckily it happened at dealer. They took it in and fixed it. They also added tape around the wires in the section by the problem hole for more protection. Been perfect for a while now.

I didn't think about that, but that's good advise.
