Today I replaced my rear brakes, been constantly checking the front, but only occasionally check the rear. Going to change that habit, my rear brakes were toast, on my last bike I had more miles when I got rid of it and the rear brakes were in great condition, I don't know if it has something to do with ABS or what, but I've never needed brakes at 25k before.

Rode with the new Monroe shocks. Not hooked up to anything, just holding air. The ride really sucks, it's rough and I feel every bump. Hope I can dial it in better once everything shows up. Till then I might have to put the stockers back on

My rears were toast at 15k. I primarily used the rear though. I just now got in the habit of using the front to slow me down and the rear to stop me. Hopefully they last longer now.

Never had trouble with the T27 fasteners on the derby cover but I went with these to play off of the ones on the licence plate. They are cone shaped security fasteners for licence plates that come with their own wrench. I noticed that they had the same thread and reach of the derby cover torx fasteners so I used them.
The close up is a little fuzzy(cheap camera) but is shows the idea. That is the wrench on the dirty garage floor. It is on the 12 RGC but I did the others also.

Installed the Sony DSX-S100 and the Biketronics BT1002..Curse my luck, the BT1002 is defective, no right side front speakers. Tore my whole system apart, by pass amp, switch the right to left, left to right wires to finally determine the BT1002 is bad. Biketronics tech support agreed after I stepped him through what I did. To confirm we cut the speaker wires between the BT1002 and Sony, failure message disappeared. New BT1002 on its way, in mean time I bypassed speaker wires and am back in the saddle. A 1-2 hour plug and play ended up 8 hours.

Adjusted my steering head bearing today. The top nut was so loose that it moved when I was wiping away the grime. Hadn't put a wrench near it. It's a wonder it didn't fall apart. I must say that was a big pain in the ass to adjust, hell, to even find. It plain Sucked!!! Good news is I thought I had an issue with the monotubes or something because the front end hasn't felt right for quite a while but this fixed it all. Solid, rode great. NO wobble anywhere from 40 to 60 to 80 and above. Let it coast from 80 down, no hands...rock solid. Now to fix this radio.........
