All I can say is make sure you have eveything you need before you start.There's a couple good slideshows on here. My buddy is a lead tech at the local HD Dealer so he did most of the work, especially the internal wiring. I found those bars for $200 new in the box on ebay from a Harley Dealer, they're usually around $300.

They were a special order, and therefore not easily returnable. I've been skeptical about apes for some time, and was worried that 12's might be too tall, but the jury is still out. I've got the 10's sitting in the garage now waiting for me to tackle them, so I guess we'll see when I dry fit them BEFORE running all of the wires.

I have these bars on the way now. If anyone is still paying attn to this thread, from what I can tell, I'll be good with stock cables AND wires? no extending needed? Thanks in advance!
